SPRINGFIELD – The Greenville varsity boys golf team place seventh out of 20 teams at the David Christoff Memorial Tournament at Reid Memorial Park Golf Course.

“I’m really pleased with how we played,” said Greenville coach Brian Stickel. “We had a goal of 370, and we exceeded that by 20 strokes.”

Greenville shot a 350, led by Cole Oswalt and Drew Beisner, carding an 85 each, Hayden Null with an 88, Carson Good a 92, and Brody Weaver a 93.

“Drew and Cole had solid rounds,” Coach Stickel noted. Hayden, who was playing this course for the first time, played well. I don’t think he expected to play that well here.”

“Go back at it Monday playing Fairborn away,” Stickel concluded.
