GREENVILLE – The Green Wave boys varsity golf team defeated the West Carrollton Pirates 180-261 at Turtle Creek Golf Course in an MVL match on the back nine.

Cole Oswalt led the Wave, shooting a 42, Hayden Null followed with a 45, Hayden Burns carded a 46, Drew Beisner shot a 47, Broday Weaver a 48, and Josh Baker finished with a 50 for the night.

“It was nice to see Cole come back with a good round after several uncharacteristic rounds,” said Greenville coach Brian Stickel. “Both Hayden’s played well, especially Hayden Burns who was playing in his first varsity match. He really impressed me tonight.”

That’s three wins in a row. Boys are working hard and trying to get better every day.

The Pirates were led by Sam Fannin with a 58, Vincent Leal a 62, Calvin Dieterle 67 and Keaton Davis a 74.

“That’s three wins in a row,” Stickel noted. “Boys are working hard and trying to get better every day.”
