GREENVILLE – The Green Wave varsity boys golf team defeated the visiting Fairborn Skyhawks 168-188 to earn an MVL win at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
“Boys played well tonight,” said Greenville coach Brian Stickel. “MVL tournament in a couple of weeks, so we have to keep getting better.”
Drew Beisner led Greenville and all scorers with a 40, Hayden Null and Brody Weaver shot 42s, Braxton Moore carded a 44, Hayden Burns a 47, and Mason Hangen a 48.
“Great to see Drew play well as he had been struggling,” Coach Stickel noted. “He’s been really working on his game.”
Owen Lauderman paced Fairborn with a 44, JC Rohler shot a 46, Carson Majors finished with a 47, Wade Ehversman 51, Hayden Borders 59, and Caden Bair a 61.
“We had a team meeting last Thursday, went over some areas we have to improve on,” said Stickel. “Hopefully it helped.
