DAYTON – Greenville earned a Miami Valley League shutout win over the home-standing Stebbins Indians baseball team.

“Our guys were excited to get out on the field,” said Greenville coach Adam Eberwein. “Finally, with all the bad weather this week if felt good to go out and get a win for the Wave.”

Greenville got a complete game 2-hitter from Braeden Wills while pounding out 8 hits, two each from Owen Mcgreevey and Drew Hamilton to in earning the conference win.

“Braeden Wills pitched a great game,” Coach Eberwein stated. “It’s always nice to have a pitcher go a complete game. It’s even better when it’s a 2 hit shutout.”

The Wave took advantage of 5 Stebbins errors on the day while limiting their miscues to a single error.

“Defensively we played a solid ball game” said Eberwein. “Cole Oswalt made some nice plays at first, with our outfield cleaning things up when the ball was hit to them..”

The Green Wave plated 2 runs in the fifth, 6 runs in the sixth, and 2 insurance runs in the top of the seventh to close out scoring on the night.
