GREENVILLE — The Greenville boys golf team edged visiting Piqua 176-180 in Miami Valley League play Tuesday at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
“Tonight we got the win, but it was an ugly win,” Greenville coach Brian Stickel said. “Neither team played to its potential tonight. I don’t know if it was the long weekend or both teams knowing we had to win to keep pace with the rest of the league. However, we will take the win.”

Hayden Burns led the Green Wave with a 42. Braxton Moore carded a 43, Harper Kerns shot a 45, and Hayden Null finished with a 46 to complete Greenville’s scoring.
Braylon Byers added a 47, while Brody Weaver shot a 51.

The Green Wave will travel to Sidney for a rematch Wednesday. Sidney defeated Greenville by three strokes earlier this season.
“Tough match Wednesday with Sidney at their place,” Stickel said. “They beat us by three earlier in the season, so it should be a good match. But we have to play better than we did tonight.”
