GREENVILLE – First Friday Downtown Greenville was greeted with perfect August 1st weather, with a wide array of arts and craftsmanship for the Artisan Stroll, enjoyed by a large turnout.
“What a beautiful evening,” said Greenville Mayor Jeff Whitaker. “We are very thankful for the Downtown and everything they are doing. Another great, beautiful First Friday in Greenville, Ohio.”

Everyone had an opportunity to explore Broadway and discover amazing local artists, unique shops, and delicious food.
“We have a great cornhole tournament going on here,” Whitaker stated, “nine rounds.”
Vendors set up in front of downtown businesses to showcase their items, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, drawings, repurposed home décor, photography, and much more.

“I was at a fundraiser last night for Susan Manchester, and we were commenting on how beautiful West Central Ohio is,” Mayor Whitaker said. “I moved here from Florida, not knowing where I was going, but I soon found out that West Central Ohio is one of the most beautiful scenic places in the country – all the agriculture going on and beautiful cornfields. Agriculture is huge around here.”
