GREENVILLE – Greenville Senior High School honored its fall athletes at its annual Fall Sports Awards.

“Nights like tonight, we reflect on successes and great times teams had through the fall,” said Greenville Athletic Director Aaron Shaffer. “It is a bittersweet night, but we get to celebrate fantastic things like MVL players of the year and All-League players and great accomplishments throughout the year, so it is a great night.”

“Any athletic department you are in there are quote-unquote the big three, football, boys and girls basketball, but there are so many other things that we are from cross country and volleyball, tennis, golf, all we do,” Shaffer stated. “We are competitive in a lot of areas and some of those sports we are highly competitive in are some of the best sports for some of the teams in our conference.”
