EverHeart Hospice will host a grief group called “Lean on Me” beginning in October. The group will be held at the St. Henry American Legion from 3:00 – 4:30 pm on Tuesdays from October 10th – November 21st. There will be no group session held on November 7th.
“Lean on Me” is a six-week general support group for adults ages 18+ who have experienced the death of a loved one and are struggling with coping, understanding their reactions to grief, and are seeking support from individuals with similar experiences in a safe and welcoming environment.
The session will combine both education and support through sharing, open dialogue, and discussions. We will use the book “Understanding Your Grief” by Dr. Alan Wolfelt and the accompanying “The Understanding Your Grief Journal” during the course of this support group.
This book series has received many top reviews from mourners, and Dr. Alan Wolfelt is one of the top educational contributors to the grieving community at large. We hope you find peace, comfort, and understanding and find solace in the shared experiences you will have in this group.
