EverHeart Hospice invites community to make a difference

New volunteer opportunities now available

GREENVILLE – EverHeart Hospice is calling on compassionate individuals in the community to join its team of dedicated volunteers. With a mission to provide exceptional care and support to patients and families during life’s most delicate journey, EverHeart Hospice is seeking new volunteers to fill a wide variety of vital roles.

Whether you have a few hours a month or a few hours a week, there is a place for you at EverHeart. The possibilities for involvement are endless and can be tailored to a volunteer’s unique talents and interests.

Current opportunities include:

Companionship – Providing a friendly presence, reading to patients, or simply sitting at the bedside.

Logistics & Support – Delivering essential supplies to patient homes.

Administrative Assistance – Helping with office tasks and organization at our local branch.

Pet Therapy – Bringing certified therapy animals to provide comfort and joy to patients.
Medical Sewing: Medical sewing includes neck pillows, hand pillows, walker bags, wheelchair bags, catheter bag covers, and activity mats for dementia patients.

Special Projects – Assisting with veteran or nurse recognition, bereavement support, or community events.

“Our volunteers are an essential part of the care team,” says Tasha Rosengarten, Volunteer Coordinator at EverHeart Hospice. “Many people think you need a medical background to help, but that isn’t the case. Whether you’re delivering supplies or simply sharing a conversation, you are providing a sense of peace and dignity to our patients.”

EverHeart Hospice provides comprehensive training for all volunteers to ensure they feel confident and prepared in their roles. No prior experience in healthcare is required, only a heart for service and a desire to give back.

How to Apply – Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Tasha Rosengarten at 800-417-7535 or visit everhearthospice.org to learn more and fill out an application.
