DARKE COUNTY – On Monday night at approximately 11:50 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Union City Police, Fire and Rescue responded to the area of Ohio-Indiana Stateline Road and Pickett Road in reference to a single vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Blue 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Hans Neudecker (85) of Winchester, Indiana, was traveling south on Ohio-Indiana Stateline Road. Neudecker suffered a medical event while driving, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. He drove off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Neudecker was transported to Reid Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
