DARKE COUNTY – On Monday at approximately 6:09 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Ansonia Fire and Rescue, responded to the intersection of SR 118 and Beamsville-Union City Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Red 2014 Infiniti Q50, driven by Francisco Sierra (36) of Union City, Indiana, was traveling north on SR 118. A Gray 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Ashlyn Swank (26) of Rossburg, was traveling south on SR 118. Sierra failed to yield when turning left and was struck by Swank.
Swank and her juvenile passenger were transported to Coldwater Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Sierra was transported to Wayne HealthCare for non-life-threatening injuries as well.
This accident remains under investigation.
