Duane Frank Goubeaux, 60 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday November 10, 2022 at 7:00 AM at his residence. Duane was born January 20, 1962 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Francis and Joyce (Gephart) Goubeaux.
Duane worked at the Brethren Retirement Community, Treaty Supply, Whitefords, and Freshway Foods. He was a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds fan.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dan Goubeaux; his father in law and mother in law, Paul and Julitta (Broerman) Henry; his sister in law, Betty Hierholzer; his brothers in law, Valbert Kelch, Tom Henry, and Don Henry.
Duane is survived by his wife, Sharon (Henry) Goubeaux of Greenville whom he married May 12, 1984; his daughter and son in law, Betsy and Bryan Douds of Greenville; his cat, Sonny; his brothers and sisters in law, Dick and Cindy Goubeaux of Russia, Dave and Jane Goubeaux of Russia; his sister and brother in law, Dott and Paul Poeppelman of Russia; his sister in law, Vicky Goubeaux of Minster; and his in laws, Norma and Rich Nerderman of Minster, Julius and Mary Hierholzer of St. Henry, Jan Russell of Troy, Ruth Henry of New Bremen, Cathy and John Shue of North Star, Sue Henry of Lima, Sharon and Doug Chandler of Liberty, Kentucky, Judy Henry of Versailles, and Zita Henry of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Family Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday November 15, 2022 and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
