Donald L. Mansfield Jr. age 68, of Greenville passed away at 2:10 am Monday, May 1, 2023, at Village Green healthcare Center in Greenville.
Donald was born July 30, 1954, in Dayton to the late Donald L. & Lucille W. (Hawkey) Mansfield Sr.
Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda K. (Anderson) Mansfield whom he married February 17, 1973; children, Christina Gulley & Chris Heckman of Greenville and Donald L. & Christina Mansfield III of Greenville; grandchildren, Zachary & Sierra Perry, Mykie Gulley & Will Yoder, Isaac Gulley, Isabella Gulley, Noah Mansfield, and Faith & Israel Layman; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters & brothers-in-law, Donna & Randy Clark of South Carolina and Deb & Rick Fox of Greenville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald retired from Sanco Products in Greenville where he was a truck driver and shipping
clerk. Donald was a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge and Greenville American Legion. He loved taking walks at Shawnee Prairie and enjoyed bowling, golf and watching Cleveland Browns Football games.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 5, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Alex Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
