Delorse A. Mote, age 84, of Greenville, passed away peacefully at 3:17 pm Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.
Delorse was born June 7, 1939, in Winchester, Indiana, to the late Glen A. & Lucy Annabelle (Stump) Mote. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, De’Anna Spahr; her grandson, Phillip Spahr; and her sister, Marsha Mote.
Delorse is survived by her son, Lanny Spahr; grandchildren, Blazin Spahr, Jared Spahr, and Amber & Michael Mangen; great-grandchildren, Kyler Spahr, Rylen Spahr, Mayddix Mangen, Ripley Mangen, Hutsyn Mangen, Trinity, Avery, and Kennedi; brother & sister-in-law, Duane & Karen Mote; sisters & brothers-in-law, Marcelle & Robert Dale Sutton, Jeanette Ulsh, Jean Young, Sharon & Jack Walls along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Delorse loved fishing, owned a bass boat, and was part of a fishing club called Bassin Gals. She was also a member of EUM Church in Greenville. Delorse retired from Corning Glass in Greenville. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EUM Church, Greenville.
