Why is adulthood so trying on a person?
I recently made a decision to get my health affairs in order instead of procrastinating. So, I have been visiting doctors’ and specialists’ offices to get my health issues headed in the right direction.
One of the X-rays I had done indicated something was amiss and I was given a choice to look further into the matter. I am still pondering what to do.
I’ve had health issues in the past, but everything has been going well until now, the way it seems. I really don’t want to go through any more surgeries, but if it means living longer, I may be forced to go that route.
I know I procrastinate. I just remember that when I was told my right kidney would have to be removed 25 years ago because it was only functioning at 14 percent. I was scared, but I made it through just fine. It was painful, like most, I’m sure, so if I have to go through it again, I guess I am going to have to give it all to God like I did before.
Maybe I’m overthinking things. I just want to be here for my son, Jamie, and I don’t want him worrying about me.
No matter what I decide, it’s up to Him, so I have to accept that.
