GREENVILLE – Genre-defying trio Take3 will open the Darke County Center for the Arts 2024-25 Artists Series season on Saturday, October 12 at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville.

According to DCCA Artistic Director David Warner, Take 3, created by Yanni’s featured violinist/vocalist Lindsay Deutsch, performs a repertoire ranging from Bach and Beethoven to Bieber and the Beach Boys.

“These women bring their conservatory-trained talents to packed stadiums and concert halls around the nation, creating an amazing show that will entertain music lovers of all kinds,” Mr. Warner stated. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Take 3 is celebrated for weaving seamlessly in and out of musical styles, resulting in such mash-ups as mixing bluegrass favorite “Orange Blossom Special” with “Flight of the Bumblebee” and beloved hymn “Amazing Grace” with strains created by Johann Sebastian Bach. Their performances combine fierce energy with talent and wit, creating an easy camaraderie with audiences.

“They classically infuse mainstream hits, they rock the Bach, they charm audiences,” Mr. Warner explained.

The performance by Take 3 is sponsored by Park National Bank. Also, DCCA membership contributions and funds provided by Darke County Endowment for the Arts support all DCCA presentations, and the Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. Additionally, DCCA receives funding from the Ketrow Foundation, Harry D. and Esther Stephens Memorial, Inc., and the John R. and Miriam H. Knick Fund of Darke County Foundation.

Tickets for the concert by Take 3 are $30; students will be admitted at half price. Seats may be reserved by contacting DCCA at 937-547-0908 or www.darkecountyarts.org or at DCCA’s office located within Greenville Public Library. DCCA office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased at the box office prior to the performance.

Season tickets for DCCA’s entire Artists Series at St. Clair Memorial Hall are also available for $130 each; the season includes country star Linda Davis in “Evening in the Round” on November 16, a cappella group Six Appeal on March 22, and the Toledo Jazz Orchestra on May 10. Additionally, DCCA’s popular Coffee House Concert series in intimate venues will open on October 17, with a performance by singer/songwriter/guitarist Diana Chittester performing at Beanz Buttercream Bakery in Greenville.
