DARKE COUNTY – On Tuesday at approximately 6:15 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue, Laura Fire Department and CareFlight were dispatched to the 9200 block of SR 571 East in reference to an injury accident.
Preliminary investigations revealed a 2021 red Honda Goldwing being operated by Regan Bruss (64) of Dayton was traveling west on SR 571, near Red River West Grove Road. Bruss failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the road striking the ditch. He was ejected from the motorcycle.
Bruss was transported to Miami Valley Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Speed is a suspected factor in the accident.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
