DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Veterans Service Commission will hold a ‘Holiday Hams’ event for all Honorably Discharged Veteran and Unremarried Surviving Spouses.
Vouchers will be distributed on Monday, December 9th, and Tuesday, December 10th, from 9 am to 3 pm and again on Saturday, December 14th, from 10 am to 12 pm at 611 Wagner Avenue in the OSU Room, which is located as soon as you walk in the lobby.
You must show a DD214* showing your Honorable Discharge (under Honorable Conditions), proof of Darke County Residency (utility bill, Lease, Mortgage, etc.), and a valid picture ID.
Unremarried Surviving Spouses will also need to provide a death certificate listing them as surviving spouses.
Darke County Commissioners showed their appreciation to the Darke County Veterans Service Commission during their regular agenda session on Tuesday afternoon.
“I want to thank the folks at the Veterans Office who are doing this. This is a really big deal,” said Commissioner Marshall Combs.
Ham pickup will be at Eikenberry’s IGA on Monday, December 16th, through Tuesday, December 24th.
