GREENVILLE – Darke County Special Olympics Track and Field Day was back for another successful year of competition last Friday at The Jennings Center Track and Field Complex next to Greenville High School.
Hundreds of school-aged special needs athletes from all Darke County schools converged for this annual event. Presenting students with their awards was Jim Kammer, from the American Legion. The students were awarded ribbons following the boys’ 50-meter run and are back to front: Corden Richardson, Arcanum.
In second place, Dillion Johnson, Mississinawa Valley, Gabe Walker, Greenville, in 3rd place, Aiden Myers, Versailles, 4th and Mason Rogers, Arcanum, 5th.
Receiving their awards from Rebecca Ungren, Beauty Systems Group (BSG), for the Boys Softball Throw event, are Tylin Rhoades, Greenville, 1st place (and also an employee at BSG), Gabe Walker, Greenville, 2nd place and Josh Doolin, Mississinawa Valley, 3rd place.
