The Darke County Commissioners, Matt Aultman, Aaron Flatter, and Marshall Combs, were all present at the May 29, 2025. The regular session began at 1:32 in the Administration Building.
On the agenda were the regular session minutes from May 27th, which were passed unanimously. Then, the examination and allowance of bills for May 28th and May 29th were presented. The vouchers, including any “then and now” certificates in the amount of the General Fund, totaled $65,349.01. Outside General Funds of $84,979.82 were also unanimously approved for payment, for a total of $ 150,328.73.
An agreement with the Darke County Airport and QTPOD for a fuel management subscription was approved. The subscription for fuel management software updates and service was approved for one year, totaling $1,999.00.
An amendment to approve the legal description was approved for a site lease agreement with Crown Castle Towers LLC.
Two mandatory and one necessary expense requests were approved for the Recorder and Adult Probation. Recorder Hillary Holzapfel was approved to go to the Ohio Recorders Summer Conference (necessary) for $854.24, and Adult probation for James Mollette for $844.00, and for Kelsey Monnin, Kira Burton, John Tabler, and Mike Albright to attend the Line Officer Training Conference (mandatory)for $2,508.00
The 2025 CHIP (Community Housing Impact and Preservation) program with the City of Greenville and Darke County for $700,000.00 will have a second hearing on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the Board of Commissioners hearing room. Residents may come and comment on the program application.
A Designation agreement between the Solid Waste District and Maharg, Inc. at 3726 Monroe Road, Celina, Ohio, to accept all solid waste within the district for $8.00 per ton was approved.
Two fund advances and one Transfer of appropriations closed out the session. The two advances were for the Darke County Grants Dept. One for the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant from the General fund to the outside fund for $19,072.40, and the other for the 2025 Brownfield Grant for Treaty Lanes for advertisements for $47.00. The Transfer of Appropriations was for the Darke County Prosecutor (outside fund) to cover allocated costs for 2025 in the amount of $49.00.
The Session ended at 1:54. The next session is Tuesday, June 3rd, at 1:30 p.m.
