GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Thursday afternoon.
Commissioners Marshall Combs and Larry Holmes were both present. Commissioner Aultman was absent.
Under Resolution (R-398-2024), Examination and Allowance of Bills dated for November 7, 2024 were read and approved. The amount of the General Fund was $31,517.20; Outside General Funds were $166,540.84; with a Grand Total of $198,058.04.
Commissioners were presented with a quote from Captain David Hawes for Emergency Repair-Safety Padding needed at the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. The original price was set at $5,800.00, however Royalty Padding Repair offers a 11% discount if payment is received in full. The discounted price is $5,000.00 and was approved.
Mercedes McFarland, 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator provided an update for Commissioners on Extension Reports.
Commissioners also approved an expense request for the Darke County Animal Shelter. Chief Robert Bair and Kirsten Marshal will be attending the 2024 Ohio County Dog Warden Association Winter Conference, December 4-6, 2024. The total estimated amount will be $760.00.
Lastly, Commissioners approved the Application to CEBCO/VSP to provide Vision Insurance Benefits to Darke County Employees. Coverage is set to become effective January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025.
