GREENVILLE – The Darke County Agricultural Society Board of Directors met Wednesday evening during their Monthly Meeting.
The 2023 Darke County Junior Fair Queen was in attendance and gave light to the board. She thanked them for their support throughout the year and reminded and invited them to the crowning of the 2024 court.
Board members approved to once again have information signs provided, maintained, and funded.
Under New Business, board members discussed the blacktop and landscaping plan for the new building. Members received a bid from Wagner Paving to complete the blacktop to ensure that the building will be wheelchair accessible and provide more accessibility for those in need. Board members also discussed a landscaping plan that was to be done by Flory’s.
Board Director Craig Bowman moved to approve the bid from Wagner Paving Inc. for the blacktop, and a plan to start with Flory Landscaping & Lawn Care for their landscaping around the building is pending.
Board Director Heidi May mentioned that she was contacted by Morgan Aultman with Ansonia FFA Greenhouse. They had leftover flowers and were interested in donating them and planting them throughout the fairgrounds.
The Darke County Agricultural Society Board of Directors will hold its next meeting at the Secretary’s Office on July 17, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
