GREENVILLE – The Fort GreeneVille Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently completed its annual tradition of decorating Christmas trees at two beloved Darke County locations: the Garst Museum and the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center.
At the Garst Museum, the chapter created a festive America 250–themed tree, honoring America’s upcoming semiquincentennial. The decorations include patriotic accents and ornaments representing American Revolution patriots.
At the Shawnee Prairie Nature Education Center, the DAR placed a second tree featuring patriotic, nature-inspired ornaments with a playful appearance by the Grinch, who can be seen peeking from within the branches.
Both trees are now on display, and the public is invited to visit the museum and nature center to enjoy the decorations throughout the holiday season.
