Crown Equipment shuts down temporarily after cyberattack

NEW BREMEN – According to reports, Crown Equipment in New Bremen has had to temporarily shut down operations due to a cyberattack.

It was learned that the malicious attack came from an international cybercrime group. The threat was detected after the company’s IT department noticed disruptions.

Reports state that Crown is now working with cybersecurity experts and federal law enforcement to help figure out a solution to the infiltration and what data has been compromised. The company employs 18,100 worldwide.

It is uncertain when the Crown will return to normal operations at this time.
