Crowing Coops 4-H Club ready for a busy spring

DARKE COUNTY – Our Crowing Coops 4-H Club has been very busy and excited for the new year! At our last meeting held on Monday, the 22nd of February, we introduced our new 2026 officers.

Our President is Grant Moore, Vice President is Ethan Subler, Secretary is Bre’anna Walker, Treasurer is Lux Bruebeck, Historian is Julia Yohey, Safety Officer is Judd Yohey, Health Officer is Cash Bruebeck, and Reporter is Lilly Hawkins. We are excited for them to lead us this year!

We talked about Trash Bash coming up on April 25th. Our club will be helping clean up the community.

Turkey orders are due March 1st, so everyone needs to remember to get those turned in on time. We also worked on a worksheet about last year’s fair and what we want to improve in our poultry projects this year. It helped us think about our goals and how we can do better with our chickens and showmanship.

There will be a Poultry Clinic on April 25th, 2026 at the Community Building on the fairgrounds. If you want more information, you can contact Cindy.

Our next meeting will be on March 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at Shawnee Prairie.
