DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ regular March 3, 2026, meeting started at 9:30 a.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from February 26, 2026.
The Examination and Allowance of bills dated March 3rd were presented. The General Fund amount was $47,495.55, and the Outside General Funds were $39,791.95, totaling $87,287.50. They were approved.
The Darke County Commissioners transferred funds for the county share to the MRTC for January to March in the amount of $87,500.00.
Lynda York will be attending the BWC Safety Conference, and the Commissioners approved $920.00 for her to attend.
A monthly fund transfer for February to the Darke County JFS (Children Services) for $61,199.83 was approved.
Expense requests for the maintenance personnel, Travis Francis, Damon Cooley, Andrew Elson, and Neal Kemper, to attend the Safety Congress in Columbus on March 11 -12 for $330.00, and for Dale Musser to attend March 10 – 12 were approved for $800.00.
The “Intent to award bid” was given to Henry W. Bergman, Inc. for the apron and taxi lane resurfacing rehab at the Darke County Airport. The award shall be subject to ODOT’s concurrence of the bid award and receipt of a grant. The award totaling $256,390.00 includes the base bid and additive alternatives No. 1 and No. 2. The bid was reviewed by Butler, Fairman and Seufert, inc.

A proclamation signing for the Darke County Development Awareness Month was signed at 10:00 a.m. by the County Commissioners.
