“We have a lot back,” said Covington coach, Shawn Naff. “We lost two seniors to graduation. It’s a great summer league. It’s a highly competitive summer league so we like coming over here.”

Coach Naff likes what he sees this summer as he returns four freshmen, five sophomores and two juniors for the upcoming 2023-2024 winter basketball season.

“We’re shooting well,” Coach Naff said. “We’re moving the ball well, sharing the ball well so we are playing really good. We’re working on some new defenses which puts us in some bad spots sometimes but we’re working on some new things.”

The team has five days of camp this week including a Wednesday shootout with 31 games being played in two Covington gyms.

The Covington Lady BUCCS compete in the Three Rivers Conference including: Bethel, Sidney Lehman Catholic, Miami East, Milton-Union Riverside, Troy Christian and Covington.
