The event served as an outreach to encourage Darke County Youth to attend the Corner Shack every week, as well as their other annual events.

Corner Shack is a local youth ministry for teens grades eighth to 12th, that meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“We have been doing this for about 20 years,” Founder Marty McCabe said. “Everyone is welcome. This event is to make sure we reach out to kids, and connect them with God.”

The Corner Shack Summer kickoff featured free food, such as meat donated by Winners Meats, Kona Ice, laser tag, Gaga ball, corn hole, volleyball, spike ball, hillbilly golf, nerf archery and a new dunk tank.
