Commissioners talk revitalization grant

GREENVILLE—The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to discuss a demolition/revitalization grant. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs and Larry Holmes were all present.

The board approved Resolution (R-102-2023), a fund advance of $41,5000 to cover Mikesell Excavating payment #1 for project #5.

Funds from 2022 Bldg. Demolition/ Revitalization Grant will advance back once revenue is received.

Commissioner Aultman said project #5 was a larger bid demolition project, the board split paid it.

“This motion comes from the $471,000 grant we got from the state to tear down and clean up junk houses around the county,” he added.
