DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ June 2, 2026, regular meeting started at 9:32 a.m. with Commissioners Aultman and Combs present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from May 28th.

A fund Advance from the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant for Darke County Grants was approved. Branson Seamless Gutter and Cleaning was awarded $96,380.00 for 110 Cypress Street, Greenville

A Transfer of Appropriations from the Auditor’s office totaling $963,886.00 was approved for the disbursement of Opioid revenue.

A Transfer for the Common Pleas court for $20,000.00 to cover new audio/visual equipment was approved.

A Specific services agreement for a consultant to provide pre-demolition asbestos inspections for 6 different properties totaling $3,990.00 was approved. A mortgage release was granted under the 2016 Chip Rehab Grant for 702 E. 4th Street in Greenville, and the grant was approved after a $9,790.00 check was received.

Matthew Pascara, Darke County Sewer District worker, received a pay increase effective on June 1st after completing his licensing and training.

Revenue and Appropriation increases for the Grants department, the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio grant was approved. They received $430,000.00 due to an unknown increase since the beginning of the year.

A fund transfer of $87,500.00 was approved from outside funds to the General fund for JFS/MRTC.

Darke County Grants authorized filing for the Brownfield Remediation Program for 2 properties. One property at 103 South Main Street in Hollansburg and one at 402 Pine Street in Greenville were both approved.

A fund transfer for JFS for June support totaling $61,199.83 was approved.

The Commissioners authorized the filing of the 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Allocation Program Application, asking for $234,000.00 for Ansonia and Hollansburg.

The Commissioners authorized the filing of the CDBG application for Critical Infrastructure for the Village of Ansonia Storm Sewer Improvements on West Canal, Third, and Cross streets. The application is for $330,000.00.

The Commissioners authorized the filing of a CDBG Application for Critical Infrastructure for the Village of Arcanum for Water tower replacement. The application is for $500,000.00.

The Commissioners authorized the filing of the CDBG application for Critical Infrastructure for the Village of Versailles, North Central area, Sanitary Sewer improvements. The Application is for $500,000.00.

The Commissioners authorized the filing of the CDBG application for Neighborhood Revitalization for the Village of Hollansburg Elm and Main Street Reconstruction Project. The Application is for $1,336,000.00.
