Commissioners discuss Budget Commission and Notice to Bidders

The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday to discuss the Darke County Budget Commission and a notice to bidders for the resurfacing of Horatio-Harris Creek, Beemsville-Union City, and Gettysburg-Webster.

Commissioners Matt Aultman, Larry Holmes, and Marshall Combs were present.

The board approved an accepting percentage share through the Darke County Budget Commission. Darke County received a percentage share of 30% with a local government fund of $511,865.38 for 2024.

Along with this, the board approved Resolution (R-247-2023). This resolution accepted the amounts and rates determined by the budget commission for 2024 and authorized the necessary tax levies and certifying to the Co. Auditor. This certified the Mental Health Levy – EXP 2031 Dupl., Mental Health Levy – CPT, Tri-County Mental Health Levy EXP 2026 with no limitation, and the General Fund with a 10 Mill Limitation.

The board also approved a date fix for the Resurfacing of Horatio-Harris Creek, Beemsville-Union City, and Gettysburg-Webster. This was a notice to bidders that the sealed proposals for this project will be received at the office of the Darke County Commissioners, 520 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331, until 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Bids may be submitted by mail or in person. The County intends and requires that this project be completed by August 2, 2024.
