Commissioners award Lead Safe Ohio Grant

GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday afternoon. 

Commissioners Marshall Combs and Larry Holmes were both present. Commissioner Matt Aultman was absent due to being out of town. 

Commissioners awarded PY2023 ‘Lead Safe Ohio Grant’ at Michael’s Resource Treatment Center and Anthony Wayne School for replacing windows and doors. Funds will be utilized to remove lead-based paint exterior building components on both facilities. 

Eicher Construction Services, LLC will be leading this project at both locations. MRTC was awarded a project amount not to exceed $115,200.00. Anthony Wayne School was awarded a project amount of $48,100.00 and not to exceed $100,000.00. 

Certificate of Appointment was approved for Darke County Job & Family Services. Amanda McGhee will start as an Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 effective July 15, 2024. 

Commissioners approved the Transportation Agreement by and between Darke County Job & Family Services and Spirit Medical Transport, LLC. The target population is for any resident of Darke County that meets the eligibility criteria of the Darke County JFS transportation program. 

Rates will remain per passenger and will include approved reimbursable hours of service Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Rates within Greenville City Limits will be $32.00 per person each way. Rates within Darke County will be $40.00 per person each way plus $3.50 per loaded mile per person each way. Rates outside of Darke County will be a $45.00 pick-up charge plus $3.50 per loaded mile per person each way. 

The contract Period will be effective from July 1st, 2024, through June 30th, 2025.
