DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ regular March 10th meeting started at 9:30 a.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from March 5th.
The Examination and Allowance of bills dated March 5th and 10th were presented. The General Fund amount was $10,182.96, and the Outside General Funds were $52,943.01, for a total of $63,125.97. They were approved.
There were three Transfers of Appropriations from the Commissioners, Juvenile and Probate court, and the Airport. The Commissioners transferred $25,536.00 for hangar door repairs. The Airport transferred $5,160.00 for plow truck repairs, and the Juvenile/Probate court transferred $6,000.00 to cover evaluation costs.
The Auditor declared four pieces of equipment as junk. A calculator, a keyboard, a wireless keyboard, and a wall clock were all declared and approved.
The Darke County Sheriff requested $668.00 for Benjamin Belcher and Kelly Moody to complete a self-paced, online Drone Pilot Ground School course and FAA certification, and the request was approved.
Journalized was the award of a bid for herbicidal spraying of the Loramie and Mile Creek open ditch at a cost of $81.20 per acre. The cost is split between Darke, Mercer, Auglaize, and Shelby counties.
At 9:37, the Commissioners went into Executive session to discuss pending or imminent court action. They emerged at 9:42.
The session was declared back in session at 9:42 and ended at 9:48.
