DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ November 6, 2025, regular meeting started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Combs and Flatter present; Commissioner Aultman was absent due to other meetings. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from Nov. 4th. Then the examination and allowance of bills for Nov. 6th were $18,858.51 for the General fund, $149,872.87 for outside funds, and a total of $168,731.38
An update from Caden Buscher from the OSU extension office highlighted the many programs and things going on in the extension office.
Various departments transferred money. The Commissioners transferred $13,195.35 for service to vehicles and internet security program premiums. Darke County Juvenile/Probate transferred $600.00 to cover the Judge’s membership dues, and the Board of Elections transferred $650.00 for notices of issues for the Nov. 4th election.
Darke County Grants had three fund advances. One for the 2025 FAA Box Hangar for $17,238.22, one for the 2024 CDBG Grant to cover ODP Business invoices for $143.23. The Last one was for the 2024 Building Demo/Revitalization Grant for $296.00. All money advanced out will be paid back once revenue is received from the grant.
A quote from Reick Services to provide and install a new Steam Boiler at the courthouse was presented. The total cost will be $72,260.00. It was accepted.
The county offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, in honor of Veterans Day.
