GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Thursday afternoon.
Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Aaron Flatter were all present.
Under Resolution (R-31-2025), the Examination and Allowance of Bills dated January 23, 2025, was read and approved. The General Fund was $109,503.53; outside general funds were $204,684.86, for a Grand Total of $315,188.39.
Darke County Commissioners also approved a lease between Darke County Commissioners and Vectren Energy and Centerpoint Energy.
The Lease reads:
‘This Lease made as of the 1″ day of February 2025, by and between the Board Of County Commissioners Of Darke County, Ohio (“Lessor”) And Vectren Energy Delivery Of Ohio, Llc, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as Centerpoint Energy Ohio (“Lessee”),
That Lessor in consideration of the sum of one Dollar ($1.00) the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and of the rents and covenants hereinafter contained, and by Lessee, its successors, and assigns, to be paid and performed, does hereby Grant, Remise, And Release to Lessee, its successors
To Have And To Hold the same with the appurtenances, unto Lessee, its successors, and assigns, for and during the term of ten (10) years commencing on February 1, 2025, and terminating February 1, 2035, paying therefore, during the said term, the sum of Two Hundred and Forty Dollar($240.00) per year, which said sum is to be paid in advance on the first day of each calendar year of said term.’
Commissioners also approved a resignation on behalf of the Darke County Animal Shelter for Amy Jones, Kennel Worker effective January 21, 2025.
The Darke County Board of Commissioners meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 pm.
