DARKE COUNTY – The September 11, 2025, regular meeting of the Darke County Commissioners started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Flatter and Combs present. The Commissioners then waived the minutes from Sept. 4th and Sept 9th. They will be read on Sept. 16th. The examination and allowance of bills for Sept. 9th and 11th were $72,322.43 for the General fund, $97,933.44 for outside funds, and a total of $170,255.77, which was approved.
Various Departments had transfers of appropriations. The Airport had three transfers. One for $1500.00 for Vehicle maintenance, $921.00 for Hangar door repair, and $2,047.25 for fuel farm meter calibration and Window washing for the Sept. 20th Fly-in. The Sheriff transferred $665.00 for tow bills and SRO memberships, Darke County Jobs and Family Services transferred $300 to machinery and equipment minus $10,000, and the Board of Elections transferred $5,000.00 changing from a plus $5000.00 line to a plus $10,000.00 dollar line. The Appropriations must be reallocated to expend on purchases less than $10,000.00.
Two fund Advances were next. The 2024 CDBG grant advanced $300.00 to pay for the OCCD annual membership, and the 2025 Brownfield Grant for $621.00 to cover the Turn-Key contract for Pre-demolition and asbestos inspections for 124 Cross Street in Palestine.
Darke County Solid Waste submitted the contract for the District management plan and District report for 2025 through 2028. The Cost is $18,000.00.
The Auditor presented an agreement with ISSG Software Services for professional services. The contract is for $175,000.00, and should eliminate problems with the old system.
The Prosecutor submitted an expense request for Margaret Hayes to attend the 2025 OPAA Juvenile Prosecutor Training in Dublin, Ohio, on Oct.16th. The request was for $518.32.
