Commissioners approve Darke County Grant Fund Advances

GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Thursday afternoon.

Commissioners Marshall Combs and Aaron Flatter were both present. Commissioner Matthew Aultman was absent.

Under Resolution (R-24-2025), the Examination and Allowance of Bills dated January 16, 2025, was read and approved. The General Fund was $114,046.84; outside general funds were $1,815,812.06, for a Grand Total of $1,929,858.90.

Commissioners approved four Fund Advances provided by the Darke County Grants. 

The first one was the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant for August – December 2024 Salary reimbursement for Sally Keiser & Susan Laux. In total, $7,736.50 was advanced from the general fund to the outside fund.

The next one was the 2022 Building Demo Revital Grant for August – December 2024 Salary reimbursement for Sally Keiser & Susan Laux. In total, $6,343.50 was advanced from the general fund to the outside fund.

The third one was the 2022 Gettysburg Critical Infrastructure Grant for August – December 2024 Salary reimbursement for Sally Keiser & Susan Laux. In total, $3,077.71 was advanced from the general fund to the outside fund.

The last one was the 2023 Arcanum Critical Infrastructure Grant for August – December 2024 Salary reimbursement for Sally Keiser & Susan Laux. In total, $5,312.07 was advanced from the general fund to the outside fund.

Commissioner Combs commented on their Monthly CIC Meeting. He shared everything that the office is working on. 

“I just want to thank Denise and Olivia at the Darke County Economic Development Office. They’ve been doing a great job of getting engaged with the students here in Darke County,” said Commissioner Combs.
