TROY – On Thursday, May 29, at approximately 1:34 pm, officers responded to the area of W. Market St. and Nashville Rd in Troy after a construction crew located a deceased male inside a dilapidated barn.
Detectives and Coroner Investigators were called to the scene and identified the male as Caleb J. Fox (23) of Columbus. Due to articles and personal belongings located at the scene, it was apparent that the barn was being used as a place of shelter. Preliminary findings suggest this was a suicide that would have taken place multiple days ago.
The Miami County Coroner ordered an autopsy, which will be performed at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The results are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
