Betty R. Best, 93, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 6:48 AM at Ayden Healthcare of Greenville. Betty was born July 4, 1930, in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Cable) Oberer.
Betty worked for the Warren Street Market, G.C. Murphy Co., and retired from GTI. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; she enjoyed gardening and loved animals.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, John Pence; her 2nd husband, Robert Best; her grandson, Kevin Banta; her brother, Harold Oberer, and her step sister, Gladys Hindsley.
Betty is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Diana and Steve Banta of Greenville and Cathy Pence of Greenville; her granddaughter, Cherri Ellis; her great-grandchildren, Kenna Jade Wolfe, Noah, and Nolan Ellis, Connor, and Cooper Price; her great-great grandson, Theo Wolfe.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
