EATON – During a meeting on Monday, Dec. 4, councilmen Jim Ball and David Kirsch took the oath of office to kick off their new terms on Eaton City Council. Ball was elected, and Kirsch was re-elected in the Nov. 7 general election. Preble County Probate Judge Jennifer Overmyer administered the oath of swearing in the two councilmen.
As its first order of business, the council elected Matt Venable, the new Mayor of the City of Eaton, and Venable conducted the remainder of the meeting. Incumbent Vice Mayor David Kirsch was elected to continue in that role.
Council’s next regular meeting is Monday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m.
