DARKE COUNTY – This week’s Athletes of the Week are Asnonia junior Bre’ana Walker and Mississinawa Valley junior Ella Godfrey.
Ansonia pitcher Bre’ana Walker is having a good spring in softball. She hit for the cycle in one game this year and threw a no-hitter, striking out 15 batters in a 4-0 win over Mississinawa Valley.
Mississinawa Valley pitcher Godfrey has been a force on the hill in her career as a pitcher for the Blackhawks. She recently eclipsed the school record for strikeouts and still has a season left to play in her career.
