RICHMOND, IN – IU East won their cross country conference meet, the River States Conference Championship in Versailles, KY, and qualified for the NAIA National Championships to be held November 17th in Vancouver, WA.

Arcanum’s Brooklyn Miras has been running among the top five for the team since becoming an IUE Redwolf XC athlete and has finished as high as third on the IUE team.

Miras is enjoying the academics and athletics side of college and has really embraced the friendships she has made in her short time there and pursuing a degree in Nursing and is loving the challenge of being a student-athlete.

Traveling with the team to out-of-state meets has been something to get used to but Miras is now well-adapted to the changes. The Arcanum graduate is ready to have her best race at nationals on the 17th.

Miras, who was a 2-time state qualifier in cross country for the Arcanum Lady Trojans and has demonstrated even more development at IU East since coming to campus.

Darke County fans can follow Brooklyn’s progress on IU East’s Facebook page and X (Twitter) or the university website.
