VERSAILLES – The Arcanum Lady Trojans are taking their summer high school basketball program to Versailles for Tuesday basketball league play.
“Coach White did a great job of getting this summer league set up with some great talent,” said Arcanum coach Abbey Moore. “I’m the kind of coach I’m always wanting to play teams that are going to challenge us and they are going to push us so that is the only way you get better.”
Some of the area’s best girls basketball teams are playing in the weekly girls event.
“Getting in leagues and doing things over the summer where you go out and kick everybody’s butt isn’t necessarily going to make you better,” Moore added.
Arcanum graduated just two seniors from the 2022-2023 season and looks to improve on an 8-15 overall season record.
“We had moments, moments in this summer league where we saw really good things,” said Moore. “The rest of this summer is about fine tuning and getting our bodies in shape this offseason to be ready for the season.”
