
TIPP CITY – The Arcanum Trojans lost a 50-47 first-round OHSAA DV boys basketball tournament game to the Milton-Union Bulldogs.
Arcanum junior Matthew McCans drained one of his four 3-pointers on the night in the opening minute of play, giving the Trojans an early 3-0 lead on the team’s way to a 13-12 advantage after one complete.

The Trojans took the second quarter 12-8, sending the teams to the break with Arcanum up 25-20.
The second half went to Milton-Union with the Bulldogs grabbing a 28-27 lead at 6:17 in the third. Milton-Union won the third quarter 18-12 and the fourth period 12-10 in earning the win and advancing in tournament play.

Four Arcanum seniors, No. 0 Landon Flatter, No. 10 Graham Brubaker, No. 12 Owen Netherly, and No. 34 Truman Knaus, played their final basketball game for the Orange and Black.
Titus Copp led Milton-Union and all scorers with a game-high 20 points. McCans pace Arcanum with 19 points.
Arcanum closes out the 2024-2025 season with a 14-9 record and 8-3 in conference play.
