ANSONIA – On Saturday, February 10, 2024, the Ansonia Athletic Wall of Fame Committee will induct a new member, Lesley (Pitsenbarger) Moody.
Lesley (Pitsenbarger) Moody, class of 2008, will be recognized for her athletic accomplishments in Basketball, Track, and Volleyball. Lesley earned 11 athletic letters in these three sports during her High School athletic career. Lesley received numerous individual, team, and conference awards in the sports she participated in during her High School career.
Basketball: Earned four letters; Most Improved 2004-05; Outstanding offensive player 2005-06; CCC Special Mention 2005-06; CC All Star 2006-07; CCC Special Mention 2007-08.
Track: Earned four letters; CCC Champs 2006-07-08; CCC All Star 4 x 100 2008; District Runner Up 2006-08; District Champion 100m hurdles 2008; CCC Academic Team 2005-07; Regional Qualifier 4 x 100 2006-07-08; Regional Qualifier 100m hurdles 2007-08; Ansonia School Record 100m hurdles (16.05) 2008.
Volleyball: Earned three letters; CC All-Star 2006, 07; Most kills 2006; MVP 2007; District 9 All-Star 2007.
The ceremony will take place between the Junior Varsity and Varsity boys’ basketball game against Fairlawn.
Wall of Fame applications can be obtained at the Ansonia Local School Office or Athletic Department. Nominees must be graduates of Ansonia Local Schools, must have graduated not less than five years prior to nomination, and the nomination form and supporting documentation must be received by October 31 annually.
