ANSONIA—The Ansonia Animal 4-H Club held their meeting on April 16, 2023 at the Ansonia United Methodist Church.

The meeting was called to order by Vice President, Brady Hartle. The pledge of allegiance was led by Savannah Oswalt followed by the 4-H pledge.

Guest speaker Preston, a vet, came and spoke to the club about vaccinations and diseases in goats, rabbits, and turkeys. He showed members tools a vet would use and talked about the VCPR. The meeting continued with talk of how the Rabbit show went earlier this month and then about 4-H Camp on June 19-22.

Campership forms are due April 28 to help with the cost of camp. We also voted that our next community service project would be stick pick up to help an older couple who have a large woods they mow.

A demonstration was done by siblings: Hayden Miller, Lexi Brunner, and Remi Brunner on how to make the rainbow effect with skittles and water. Cloverbuds learned how to care for a pet and made their favorite pet out of construction paper. The meeting ended with a fun balloon volley for our healthy challenge.

The next meeting will be held May 21 at 2pm at the Ansonia Methodist Church.
