On July 21, 2023, at approximately 6:13 PM, Darke County Deputies, along with Ansonia Rescue, Ansonia Fire, Versailles Rescue, Greenville TWP Rescue, and CareFlight, were dispatched to the intersection of US 127 and Beamsville Union City Road in reference to an accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2007 Ford Explorer driven by Patrick Harsh, 43, of Greenville, was attempting to make a left turn onto US 127 from Beamsville Union City Road. Mr. Harsh failed to yield the right of the way traveling into the pathway of a Northbound tan 2005 GMC Sierra driven by Caden King,19, of Union City. The two vehicles struck in the intersection. Mr. Harsh and his passenger, Kaylynn Key,20, of Bradford, and a juvenile passenger were treated at the scene and were transported to Wayne Health Care with minor injuries. Mr. King was treated at the scene and transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight with non-life-threatening injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
