A Night of Giving: Greenville BPW’s Annual Gala Delivers Big Win for High School Senior Girls

GREENVILLE – Greenville Business & Professional Women’s Club (BPW) guests and members attended the popular annual guest night “Fall Into a Night of Giving” gala on October 1st. Those attending enjoyed shopping, special raffles, a silent auction and an awesome taco bar, which was held at the Greenville Elks Club in Greenville. Many silent auction items were available for bidding, along with vendor shopping and a chair massage.

Several door prizes were given out and a 50/50 raffle drawing was won by Cameron Reed. In addition, two super raffles were held. A two night stay in a Brown County, IN cabin (Bittersweet), donated by Deb and Gene Niekamp, won by Alexia Sykes and a cooler full of meat donated by Ketring Meats of New Madison with Travis Fliehman claiming the winning ticket. This successful evening brought in around $6,600 to reserve for the scholarship fund for the young women of Darke County.

Committee chairs Stacy Sykes and Alexia Sykes, along with committee members Terra Denniston, Delores Sleppy, Linda Kendig, Alyssa Holiday, Delores Sleppy and Tracy Kemper hosted the evening. BPW President Sykes thanked all who attended and spoke about BPW’s mission and fundraisers held throughout the year. BPW member and emcee Alyssa Holiday kept the evening moving along and introduced the table sponsors. Sysmic Entertainment played upbeat music throughout the event.
