To whom it may concern,
I hope this Newsletter finds you well. Earlier this week, Darke County got a slight reprieve from precipitation, but rain has started up again in the past couple days. (https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?OH. Some farmers were able to take advantage of that window to harvest some corn and soybeans. Largely due to the wet conditions, some higher levels of disease have been present throughout the region, including Tar Spot and Gibberella Ear Rot. Be sure to be safe and cooperative with farm equipment on the roads throughout harvest season.
Stay tuned to next week’s Newsletter for the date, time, and topic of the Darke County Garden Roundtable.
