GREENVILLE – The Greenville Public Library is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Harry D. Stephens Memorial Trust Fund, supporting the library’s ongoing efforts to provide valuable resources, services, and programming to the Greenville community.
The Harry D. Stephens Memorial Trust Fund was established to benefit residents of the Greenville area. According to Trust Fund Board President Dianna Wagner, “Harry Stephens retired from the banking industry and left a portion of his estate for the public benefit of the residents of the Greenville area.”
The grant provides meaningful support for the Greenville Public Library as it continues to serve as a welcoming community resource for residents of all ages. From books and digital resources to educational programs, community events, and opportunities for lifelong learning, GPL works to provide services that enrich the lives of the people it serves.
“We are grateful to the Harry D. Stephens Memorial Trust Fund for recognizing the importance of the library and investing in the Greenville community,” said Library Director Joanna Brown. “Support like this allows us to continue expanding the resources and experiences we are able to offer our patrons.”

The Harry D. Stephens Memorial Trust Fund is also reminding local organizations that the application deadline for the December distribution is October 1.
